FAQs

I have an injury, or working through an injury, can I still work out?

Short answer - Absolutely. Steph is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and Jordan is a Certified Athletic Trainer. We both have a background in sports medicine and rehab working with a wide range from high school athletes to retired adults. Through a thorough consultation and ongoing communication, we are able to identify your limitations to ensure that your program provides exactly what you need.

What do you look at during the initial consultation?

During the initial consultation we identify your starting point. We discuss your training and injury history as well as any current limitations that you are looking to address or needing to work around along with any obstacles that you can see getting in the way of progress. From there, we define where you want to go by setting some goals and laying out expectations. We then get you up and moving to do a brief movement assessment. Lastly, we take all of that information and work backwards from your goals to put together your ideal plan.

What does a normal session look like?

The answer to that varies so much that it is hard to answer. No 2 sessions will look the same and everything is designed and done specifically for you and what you are wanting to achieve. In general, each session starts with some movement prep exercises, followed by a progressive strength program, and finished with a conditioning piece. The amount and volume of each of those components varies depending on your goals and where we are at in your program.

Can you help with my nutrition?

We all know that you can’t outtrain a bad diet and nutrition plays a huge role in achieving your goals. We are not nutritionists or dieticians, so we are not able to write you a specific meal plan. However, we can (and gladly will) provide you with information and recommendations on food choices/quantities as well as give you strategies to achieve your best possible results.

What is your experience as trainers?

Jordan has been a full-time personal trainer since 2014, logging more than 12,000 hours of 1-on-1 personal training sessions. Before that he worked in the sports medicine field as an Athletic Trainer for Indiana University and Purdue University at Fort Wayne. Stephanie has been a Physical Therapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach since 2017 working with a diverse group of people from high school and college athletes to adults. With our combined background in the rehabilitation and sports medicine world coupled with our experience in the fitness industry, we are able to provide a high level of expertise and skill to work with anyone that is dealing with an injury or looking to get into better shape - whatever that means to you.
